5G applications may utilize the crowded sub 6 GHz spectrum, as well as centimeter-wave and millimeter-wave spectrum. Operating in crowded spectrum poses questions such as how will sub-6 GHz candidate 5G waveforms coexist and interact with legacy 3G, 4G, and PAN waveforms? Can the 28 GHz frequency band be shared between satellite waveforms and candidate 5G waveforms?
