Exploring the Potential of Non-Uniform Sampling with the EV10AS940 ADC presents a demonstrator developed by Teledyne E2V and CEA-Leti to assess the practical use of Non-Uniform Sampling (NUS) in analog-to-digital conversion. The goal is to evaluate how NUS can help reduce the data throughput generated by high-speed ADCs, such as the EV10AS940 operating at 12.8 GSps, while maintaining signal quality. The demonstrator includes a ZCU111 FPGA board and a host PC, and processes a DVB-S2 signal generated by a Rohde & Schwarz source. Real-time detection and partial demodulation are performed on the FPGA, while advanced processing is handled on the PC. Results confirm that NUS can reduce data rates effectively, even under low SNR conditions, and provide a foundation for future DAC-oriented evaluations.
